During the consultation, we take some time to discuss your choice of Permanent Makeup design, the colour and shape you want to achieve.

Firstly, together we define the desired result together. A design is drawn with the pencil according to your wishes, whilst advising on the basis of your morphology and symmetry. We can also refer to previous client photos to help to achieve the design required.

Secondly, we choose a colour from a range of mineral pigments of high quality. We assess the colour of your Makeup and natural skin tone. I take a photo and start your client record file.

Once we agree to the design and colour, I apply an anaesthetic cream to numb the area before we begin. More anaesthetic lotion is applied during the procedure to make it as comfortable as possible for you. With the help of a Dermograph, a small electrical instrument with a sterile single use needle module, the pigment is gently positioned in the skin.

If you are nervous the day of the treatment, you can take a Panadol. That works on the nerve endings and is very helpful. Or alternatively Panadeine or Mersyndol which does the same and also helps you relax. It is important not to take any vitamin B or Aspro at least 2 weeks before any procedure.

For any lip treatment: if you have ever had a cold sore, even if it was over ten years ago it is very important to follow these instructions: L-Lysine tablets need to be used at least a week prior to and after the treatment. And also Zovirax cream needs to be applied to the lip area for at least 4 days prior to and after the treatment. This helps to prevent a break out.

For any eye treatment: Take out your lenses, and do not apply any colouring or permanent on the eyelashes during the 15 days before the session.

After treatment care:

Little crusts will be formed in the pigmented area. Do not scratch or wet them, they will drop off by themselves after 4 to 5 days. Picking or scratching at the Cosmetic Tattoo will dislodge the pigment before the skin has had a chance to heal. As this can result in uneven colour, it is best avoided. You will have to apply an anti scar cream (Bepanthem) every morning and evening on the lips and on the eyebrows, until complete scarring. Do not put anything on the eyes. Avoid all sources of heat (UV, sun, sauna, hammam) and everything that causes irritation (peeling, scrubbing). No soap, cleansers or water should be used on the treated area for at least 4-5 days. Do not use any cream with an acid base or a vitamin A base for at least 15 days. This would trigger an acceleration of the skin renewal, and the pigment wouldn’t have the time to settle in the skin. No colouring or permanent of the eyelashes for 15 days.

No makeup should be applied on the treated area for at least 4-5 days

The colour right after the session will appear intense or darker than the one you chose. This is because the pigment on the surface forms a seal. This seal will hold the implanted pigment in the skin until the skin heals. Then the surface pigment will dry out and flake off. Once this process is completed the colour will lighten and soften for about 30% within 15 days. That is why a touch up may be needed between 15 days and maximum one month after the first session to achieve the best result desired. After four weeks the healing will be completed under the skin and the true colour can be appreciated. This is the best time to judge the results.
